Each model in this series uses a one-piece spindle machined from SCM440 alloy steel with thermal refining and precision-ground finishing for long-term rigidity and accuracy. Hardened and ground X/Y slideways with Turcite-B coating reduce friction and wear, while multi-step or inverter-driven head options provide spindle speeds ranging from roughly 50 up to 5,560 RPM depending on model. Standard spindle taper is NT30/R8 on the smaller JY-15 and NT40 on the JY-18 through JY-28 series, with main spindle motors from 3 HP up to 5 HP. The JY-26 and JY-28 models additionally offer an optional horizontal milling attachment for expanded machining versatility. These machines suit general-purpose tool room work, prototype development, and small-to-medium batch production.
